Meta-psychiatry and the Examined Life

Meta-psychiatry states that “The meaning and purpose of life is to come to know Reality”. When that orientation prevails in our life, when our concern is with awareness of spiritual reality, we become “beneficial presences” in the world. It is by the quality of our consciousness that we attain a fulfilled, authentic life, which is a blessing to ourselves and to those we encounter.  In summary, the examination of the meaning of phenomena in our lives leading to a turning toward divine inspiration as a valid and effective way of living appear to be necessary for a satisfactory existence.

Without the understanding gleaned from phenomenology’s explanation of our suffering as attachment to false ideals, our spiritual endeavors may be inauthentic.

Without seeking spiritual healing of our problems, they remain theoretical perceptions without healing potency.
